I am really disappointed in this book.  It reads like lame fan fiction.  If it had been fanfiction, I would have stopped reading about halfway through, but because it was JE's book I plowed on hoping it would get better.  The mystery wasnot much, the most interesting part being was Zook Morelli's kid with his cousin..ick.  I have always like Lula, but the Lula in this book was weird..off.  She tricked Tank into thinking he proposed to her and then runs around planning the wedding.  Then--no mention at all---as if the story line didn't exist.

Several scenes and pranks and actual conversations we reused from other books.  Like cut and paste for filler.  They stood out because they didn't fit where they were used, or different characters were having the identical conversation from an earlier book, but now new people were saying the words.  It was bizarre.  I know I sound obsessive, but right before the new Plum comes out I listen to the last 3 or 4 to get back in the swing of the series.  I think lots of other readers do as well.  Maybe Ms. Evanovich should do that, so she remembers her story line.  Also...I don't HATE Joe, but the book seemed "empty" without Ranger in it.

Bottome line   I am not going to buy this book.  Usually I buy the book and the CDs on the day it is released. Not worth it.  Wait for the library copy or paperback.  I'm not going to even get the paperback of this one.
